Why Participate?

Through accessing GBPA’s exclusive research-based Discovery programme and advisory services, and participating in GBPA facilitated events, you and your organisation will be able to access best practice, independent advice and practical solutions to address your internal collaboration and business partnering challenges.

Importantly, membership of GBPA enables you to work with other organisations to:

  • innovate
  • manage risks
  • reduce costs
  • improve mutual profitability.

The focus of GBPA’s Discovery programme and advisory services is driven by participating organisations. For example, in response to particular relationship challenges associated with outsourcing, GBPA facilitates 'The Collaborative Outsourcing Journey', to enable customer and supplier organisations to move from transactional, through collaborative to strategic partnering relationships.

GBPA membership is open to all senior professionals around the world who want to leverage the value their organisation can derive from business partnering and collaborative relationships. Current members are active in a wide range of industries and come from a variety of professional backgrounds, including banking, finance, IT, software development, logistics, human resources and law.

GBPA provides members with a forum where both users and suppliers of services can meet in an objective environment to explore critical partnering issues - including commercial, organisational, technical and cultural issues.

Partnering no longer an option

In today’s global economy, strategic partnering is no longer an option – it’s essential for success.

Surveys consistently indicate both the growth in business partnering, and how often organisations struggle to achieve their partnering goals. For example, the Harvard Business Review reported recently that corporate partnering is increasing by 25% per year, but between 60-70% of all corporate partnerships fail.

Through participating in GBPA events and accessing GBPA’s research-based Discovery programme and advisory services, organisations access best practice, independent advice and practical solutions in addressing their business partnering challenges.

Partnering is the future
